From the start, the first thing that you should expect from the WBT© Foundation is transparency and trust. Consistent with our values of compassion and stewardship, it is WBT©'s policy to provide medical financial assistance to patients in need. Period. We prides ourselves on assisting those individuals in need of assistance when they are in time of financial debt or crisis, and we rely on our new FlowNetwork© health care system to give us patients the resource necessary.
The FlowNetwork© health care system is dedicated to improving the health of the people in the communities it serves. Because of this, the WBT© Foundation has a policy in place to provide care for patients in need of financial assistance. Patients with family incomes at or below 300 percent of applicable federal poverty guidelines are eligible for medical financial assistance. In addition, patients with significant medical bills and income above 300 percent of applicable federal poverty guidelines may be eligible for medical financial assistance as well.
WBT©'s medical financial assistance program provides discounts to patients (as much as 100 percent of service facility charges) who meet financial eligibility guidelines. All patients eligible for medical financial assistance will not be charged more for medically necessary care than the amounts generally billed to patients who have insurance.
A key, pivoting provision of medical financial assistance requires the cooperation of the patient in providing health insurance information, applying for available government programs, completing a WBT© medical financial assistance program application when needed, and providing any requested supporting documentation. Given the sensitive nature of these requests, all communications with the patient or family members will be handled in strict confidence and in a compassionate manner within the guidelines of HIPAA.
WBT©'s ability to provide medical financial assistance is consistent with our values of compassion and stewardship and complies with federal and state regulations. Nothing in our financial assistance policy, website(s) or other financial assistance material constitutes an offer to any particular patient and creates no contractual rights or obligations.

Patients who are unable to pay for all or a portion of their treatment may apply for medical financial assistance by talking with a WBT© Resource Counselor. These counselors will first help you see if you qualify for any medical financial assistance. Enrolling in our programs is very profitable, as we also help you improve your health by providing things like preventative care in order to identify diseases and chronic conditions early, and keep you from going back to the ER or medical professional for the same recurring issue. To speak to a WBT© resource counselor, please contact a partnering WBT© facility, and asked to be transferred to a financial specialist. Partnered patient- & urgent-care centers, hospitals, and medical professionals post notices about the WBT© Foundation in their Emergency Departments and Business Offices; including how a patient may apply for medical financial assistance.

WBT© patients are encouraged to seek information from their hospital's financial counselor if they anticipate difficulty paying their portion of the hospital bill. Our Resource Counselors make every effort to assist patients who are uninsured, underinsured or face other financial-debt challenges associated with paying for any patient care services provided by the local hospital, patient- &urgent-care facility, or medical professional office.
If you are interested in applying for patient care medical financial assistance with the WBT© Foundation, you will need to apply for financial assistance and provide proof of income. Free paper copies of the application are also available in all participating WBT© hospital, patient- & urgent-care facilities, and medical professional offices, departments and registration areas.
