Organizational Goals & Objectives
Patient Awareness is Right Beside You
Our vision is to provide patients in need with greater opportunity, dignity, and hope so they can get the proper patient care without feeling the pressure of paying fully out of pocket. As a parent, we know you would travel to the ends of the earth to seek the best possible care for your child. Since the WBT© Foundation is rooted right here in North Texas, you can easily access the quality of patient care and outcomes, as well as experience and expertise, your loved one deserves. We know you have a choice when selecting the right hospital, patient- & urgent-care facility, or medical professional, and that’s why we are constantly driving to be better as an advocate for patient care with your facility of choice.
By supplying the educational tools for changing health habits, and offering preventative health and wellness within themselves, their family, and the community for which they live we support all people regardless of ethnicity, gender, race, or religion.
When health insurance, government stimulus packages, and little-to-no savings is not enough, we’re here to help with supplemental assistance such as required visit payments, initial patient ER responsibilities, copays, premiums, deductibles, doctors visit consultations, and other out-of-pocket expenses that surround medical expenses. Which means you get the patient care you need — the moment you need it, while we dedicate ourselves to harnessing a better and more healthier community. This way of living is modeled and shared with the beneficiaries of our giving programs, and fully accreditates us as a tax exempt public charity.
We're making population health management work by looking at entire communities to shape and design patient care programs that are specifically targeted at improving the overall health of patients. In fact, we've developed services to better connect patients to the care they deserve. Advocating and understanding the impact of various social factors is essential to providing equitable, effective and high-quality patient care.
Our mission is to serve local community patient care by providing financial medical assistance, as well as preventative health and wellness education programs to patients who cannot afford initial patient care funding, such as copays, premiums, deductibles, doctor visit consultations, initial patient ER responsibilities, and other out-of-pocket expenses. It is the hope of the WBT© Foundation to help patients remove reoccurrence ER visits, all the while bettering to improve their health habits.
Saying you want to be the best is one thing. Constantly driving to be better is a whole different story. That’s why we’re so proud to be moving in the right direction. As the only nationally-ranked patient care foundation with a combined focus directly on financial medical assistance and preventative health and wellness education in North Texas, we are proud to have three-of-four key initiatives ranked in the top three of initiative programs to health and wellness in patient care. Statistics show that on an average calendar year, more than 64% of patients revisit ER's or their medical physician for the same illness. Our hope is to identify this reoccurence, diminish it to a lower level, and eventually remove financial medical debt — all the while educating patients to a healthier lifestyle. In otherwords, our intent is to help patients stay as healthy as possible by providing the necessary tools to prevent such frequent visits to hospitals, patient- & urgent-care facilities, or medical professionals.
WBT© core values are developed within four (4) separate frameworks:
- Dignity: Individuals and communities are transformed into ones with dignity and wholeness through a spiritual, social, economic, and physical change.
- Sustainability: Lasting impact is realized through locally sustainable programs.
- Empowerment: Development occurs to the extent local communities, leaders, and individuals are empowered to affect change.
- Humility: The means of development are demonstrated through partnering with the local community, like-minded organizations, and individuals who are selfless.
The patient care needs present in today’s communities are complex and deeply interconnected. Our giving program areas complement one another, and act as a coehesive response to patient care issues.
It's All About Being Together
Let's face it! Patient care is not going away anytime soon, and for that same statement, neither is medical debt. Therefore, it is the hope of the WBT© Foundation to get the community and families back to good health as quickly as possible. Through comprehensive education, training, coaching, and direct partnerships spreading best practices can make a real impact in providing better lives for everyone. Together, we can leverage our size and experience to improve the overall preventative health and wellness of the broader community we serve throughout the North Texas and beyond.
