Meet the Facility Advisors
The role of the WBT© Foundation Facility Advisors is to review, analyze, advise and make recommendations to the executive staff regarding the planning and prioritizing of facility locations, partnerships, and projects in and for the WBT© Foundation. The Facility Advisory Board is overseen by the Medical Facility Directory who negotiates with hospitals, patient- and urgent-care facilities, or medical professional all throughout North Texas, and is reviewed and approved by the Chief Operations Officer and the President.

Darrian Kendall is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the WBT© Foundation. Darrian is responsible for the overall business operations of the organization — providing outstanding patient-facility relations, and driving profitable revenue growth to communities beyond your simple charitable giving. Darrian focuses on collaborative programs with his WBT© colleagues that will help patients and the community around North Texas harness a better and more healthier way of living, by providing medical financial assistance to those who are unable to completely pay for their untimely expenses. Bringing more than 28 years of executive leadership experience, Darrian continues to develop and deliver both financial and technology-driven patient care services and solutions. Darrian has served as a Senior Liason of Field Operations for Senior Care Centers, located in Dallas, Texas, where he helped drive and execute many of the company’s therapist online strategy shifts.
Under Darrian’s leadership, WBT© has embarked on defining and embedding its purpose, “Providing Better Lives. For Everyone™” with the goal of creating a sustainable enterprise to ensure the foundation’s long-term success for patient-care. The purpose serves as the organization’s 'Aurora Borealis' - guiding its employees in their actions and behaviors to forever change, but always remaining constant.
Darrian believes that, "for companies to be successful in this rapidly changing world, it must be 'bold and agile'; and at the same time thoughtful and disciplined." This has led the foundation to its 20/22 two-year vision, with a three-fold strategy: continue to deliver top-quartile performance, become known as one of the world’s leading medical financial assistance providers, and elevate its commitment to corporate social responsibility.
Darrian holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Central Washington University, and a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Arlington; with a focus on Criminal Psychology.
Prior to joining the WBT© Foundation, Elizabeth spent eleven years in finance and business development. Elziabeth dedicates her time to WBT© and maintains the foundations financial strategies; being a fluential instrument in building out financial business support capabilities and corporate functions at the foundation.
In her spare time away from the foundation, Elizabeth is the founder of EliG© Natural; specializing in Hydrocolon therapy. She has spent more than ten (10) years in the medical industry, as well as more than thirteen (13) years in the financial trust field.
Elizabeth received her medical degree BA in physiology, specializing in health and wellness as a natropath doctor. From 2011 to current, Elizabeth has help hundreds of patients get back on track with their health.
Paul is the foundation’s Chief Operating Officer. In this role, he oversees all administrative and operational functions at the foundation. As COO, Paul is responsible for fostering relationships and engagement between the foundation’s Administrative staff, the Board of Directors, and its Board of Trustees and Sponsors.
Addition to his responsibilities at WBT©, Paul serves as a Reserve Police Officer for the City of East Tawakoni for the last 11 years, and holds a Master's Peace Officer license.
Isabelle is currently serving her first term as WBT©'s Compliance and Audit officer. Having served more than twenty-five years in the financial institute industry, and currently working along side Boeing as a Contract Negotiator for Aircraft and Commercial Aviation Servivces, Isabelle brings her knowledge and all matters related to oversight, company compliance and audit. Isabelle is responsible for enforcing management of the foundation’s labor relations, procurement services, information systems, facilities, and other auxiliary services.
Isabelle has an extensive background in acquisitions, assessments and analysis, and contingency operations, as well as substantial experience in resolving complex strategic and tactical level challenges; both on the domestic and international dimension. She holds a B.A.in Organizational Leadership from Northwest University, and M.A. Master of Education in Child Development. Isabelle and her husband, Jesse, have thre children.
Before joining WBT©, Beth was the controller for the Walton Family foundation. She was a manager of treasury operations at Walmart. Prior to joining Walmart, Beth held the positions of vice president and chief financial officer at Freedom Bank of Southern Missouri, senior accountant loss share reporting for Great Southern Bank and chief financial officer for Southwest Community Bank.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in business administration with accounting emphasis from Drury University and a Master’s degree in accounting from Liberty University.
In his current role, Ned oversees the foundation’s investment and debt portfolios; both domestic & international, as well as oversees the annual cash movements and deposits from donations and cash flow. Ned remains committed to improving WBT© and the patients it serves through trusted stewardship, wise investment, and bold innovation. These principles have been at the forefront of his work since taking office in January 2019.
Ned graduated from Duke University with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and later earned a Master’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in finance from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. His commitment to public service is matched only by his love of family.
Chandra has served in a leadership capacity working with the human resources office since joining WBT© in 2017. In December 2018, Chandra assumed the role of Acting Director for the foundation where she was instrumental in creating and launching the HR structure for the foundation, and also provided leadership and technical oversight to the satelite regional offices. Prior to joining WBT©, Chandra worked for the National Institutes of Health for 6 years where she gained valuable knowledge of federal HR and advised NIH leadership on human resources programs, including staffing and recruitment, classification, position management, employee relations and compensation policy.
Chandra holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and Management from the University of Maryland in College Park, Maryland.
Voss joined the WBT© staff in 2020 and currently serves as Systems Analyst. Reporting directly to the CFO, Voss's responsibilities include the administration of the foundation’s invested endowment, cash flow forecasting, and liquidity management. Andrew also serves as technology specialist for the Finance Office and plays a key role in the implementation of new financial systems.
Voss is responsible for the management of the Travel and Corporate Card Program which helps the WBT© get around the U.S. to better broaden patient-care needs throughout the community.
Julie currently serves as Director of Programs for WBT©. She has served in a capacity of Director of Programs for nearly 5 years. In that capacity she oversees the Education Program staff and is responsible for setting Program priorities, responding to constituent needs and requests, developing new education projects, and interfacing with other national and domestic education policy organizations. She also serves as the program policy specialist for greater medical education issues.
Julie received her Masters in Political Science from the University of California at Davis in 2006. Prior to joining WBT© she was a policy associate with the Center for Policy Research in San Diego and taught political science courses at the University of California - Berkley.

Kristen began her investments career in 1990 as an analyst for Argus Research. Media and entertainment stocks became her focus when she joined WBT©. In 2017, Kristen earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a specialization in finance from Marquette University. She is a CFA charterholder, and a successful stock-broker.
Michael has always had a passion for strategic thinking and creative communication. Prior to joining WBT©, Michael pursued a career in nonprofit event planning, fundraising and communications, and most recently worked at a local agency on marketing, copywriting and business development. Michael loves to help patients develop effective health-decisions and increase their overall health impact. Michael has spoken at and facilitated workshops with local and national audiences on branding, marketing and social media.
Michael currently serves as the Communications Director, and also enjoys volunteering within the community where he can. Michael graduated from the University of Kansas with a BS in Journalism: Strategic Communication and has a BA in Spanish.
Marlene currently serves as the Senior Marketing Manager. She helps with our technology growth by building and executing strategic marketing programs while driving sales and marketing alignment to deliver breakthrough revenue. A long-time cloud veteran, Marlene has been helping WBT develop SaaS growth since 2018. Passionately following the voice of the patient, she ably transforms customer insights into effective product positioning, sales enablement and lead generation programs.
Marlene has helped WBT© develop both a cohesive marketing strategy and organizational design that will support our vision and future growth. An integrated marketing plan was developed in late 2019 around a newly developed brand story to drive qualified leads to our Resource Counselor team; aligning everyone on what it takes to drive growth in an nonprofit objective, outcome-driven perspective. Marlene leads with her heart and is open, honest, and motivational with colleagues alike. She has changed how we approached marketing and is a true member of the WBT© team.
Wendy is recognized as one of the top 100 global DPR's, a “Power-Lady” of the Hispanic economy, and a leading Health Tech Influencer, adept at translating digital developments into meaningful advancements for both business and society. Wendy is an advisor and investor for WBT©, and is on the United Nations m-Powering Development Advisory Board for the Agency for Information and Communications Technology (ITU).
Wendy earned a Bachelor of Science from the George Washington University, and a Master of Public Health from Yale.
Phillip has been providing comprehensive financial planning services to WBT© since 2018. He started his career with Morgan Stanley before joining Raymond James in October, 2017. Phillip enjoys learning all about WBT©'s clients and their patient-care needs, educating them on their options and helping them to develop a plan of action.
Phillip adheres to a professional Code of Ethics, and fulfills annual continuing education requirements to remain aware of current planning strategies and financial trends. Phillip graduated from Brother Martin High School, attended LSU in Baton Rouge and received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of New Orleans.
Prior to his current role, Thomas was the CMO at S1Frost, an education and training company focused on cybersecurity and internal audit, and also ran a digital consultancy for private equity-backed companies. Thomas previously worked as Executive Vice President and Managing Director at SourceMedia, a B2B digital media company, and has held executive roles at Thomson Financial and Venture Economics. He began his professional career at WBT© in late 2019.
Thomas holds a BS in Computer Science and Mathematics from Binghamton University, an MS in Software Engineering from Boston University, and a Certificate in corporate strategy from MIT Sloan.
Flora is a part-time Programmer/Analyst supporting Human Resources and Payroll. Before joining the WBT© foundation, Flora worked in software development at HCA Healthcare, with the corporate offices for Holiday Inn Hotels, and for the Internet-banking software provider S1. Throughout her industry career, she was engaged in a variety of software development roles, including programmer, programmer/analyst, software analyst, project manager and development manager.
Working directly with the WBT© staff through the FlowNetwork©, Flora develops applications employing custom code and open source software that advance the mission of the foundation. Flora holds a B.A. degree in Mathematics from the University of Rhode Island and a M.S. in Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
William previously worked in the American University Office of Information Technology (OIT) as the Director of Integrated Technology Solutions from 2010-2013. William started his career as a consultant with Accenture and The North Highland Company, and in addition to helping patients in higher education, he has worked in the telecommunications, pharmaceuticals and health care services industries.
Prior to joining WBT© in 2019, William was the Chief Information Officer (CIO) at University of Texas at Arlington for seven years. William recently earned a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Vanderbilt University.
Pedro joined the WBT© staff in mid-June, 2020, serving as the International Translator. As a bilingual leader, Pedro has become a valuable asset in keeping patient-care relations solid; especially among the hispanic culture. Pedro has worked to manage interpretation services for a variety of sectors including positions at a federal, state and local business level.
Pedro is experienced at overseeing services during periods of extreme need of sensitivity including immigration services, and has been a strategic partner in executing on strategic initiatives and organizational growth. Pedro has a B.A. in Communications from Puerto Rico Umiversity, a B.B.A. in Advertising and Public Relations from Puerto Rico University, as well as a Master Degree in Global Business Management from the University of Phoenix.
Karla currently serves as Program Events Coordinator for the WBT©, and works closely with the new Distance Dietetics program scheduled to launch in 2021. Karla's duties include responding to inquiries about the programs offered, reviewing patient-care transcripts, corresponding with advisees from sponsors, as well as hospital, urgent-care or medical professional staff, and mapping out articulation agreements with future sponsors and health providers.
Patient often are unaware of resources available to them or where to find them, and Karla wants to help make them feel as much a part of WBT© as she can. She says the most meaningful part of her job is, "getting to know the patients and seeing their smiles at crucial moments in their lives when we've been able to help them". A native of Florida, Karla holds a Master's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Contract Management from Florida Institute of Technology.
Tammy was appointed Merchandise Director for WBT© in mid-June 2020 and is responsible for strategy, business development and investor relations for BetterScrubs©; a branched division that supplies scrubs and medical supplies to WBT© clients.
Prior to her appointment to WBT©, Tammy was the co-founder and CEO of LadyBug Scrubs, advising large private and public medical sector clients. Tammy is a great addition and asset for WBT© as we venture forward to more and more medical professionals.
Patricia is a Certified Health and Life coach, and currently serves as a WBT© Resource Counselor. Over the past seventeen years Patricia has been advocating for the Cancer Community and has been selected three (3) consecutive years to serve as a full voting member (along with prominent scientist) for the Breast Cancer Research Program (BCRP), appropriated by the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Program (CDMRP).
Patricia, through her coaching, has been able to guide others on the importance of living a healthy balance life; hosting countless seminars and events raising awareness on early prevention through fitness and nutrition. As a certified fitness instructor, she has helped others cater to the whole person spirit, mind and body.

Michael was named General Counsel in October 2018. As the chief legal officer of WBT©, Michael oversees the legal affairs, including corporate governance, labor and employment law, development law, litigation, and corporate and regulatory compliance.
Michael brings more than 30 years of experience in business and corporate law to WBT©, including extensive experience across various industries. Most recently, Michael served as a consultant with Axiom, a provider of tech-enabled legal services. There he provided legal counsel to companies across various industries including food and beverage, manufacturing and healthcare. A native of California, Michael earned a bachelor’s degree, magna cum laude, from the University of California, Santa Barbara and his Juris Doctor degree from University of California Hastings College of Law.

Arlen is president of WBT©, and understands fully what it means to be dedicated to expanding opportunities in America’s cities through patient-care, grantmaking and social investing.
Since her appointment in 2016, Arlen has led the foundation to adopt an array of grantmaking and investing tools to improve the economic, social, cultural and environmental conditions of patient-care life through grantmaking and social investing in medical education, environment, health, human services and community development. Using a full array of grant, loan and other investment tools, Arlen invests strategically to foster patient-care change.
Arlen's passion for rural commuinities lacking the basic patient-care is rooted in her own experiences in Boston where she was born and raised. Arlen has centered the organization on advancing racial equity and economic inclusion through policy change at the local and state levels. Under her leadership, the organization launched Communities of Opportunity with Dallas County, a nationally recognized effort to create greater racial, economic, and health equity in our region.
Arlen earned a bachelor’s degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Texas at Austin, and her Master's degree from the University of Texas at Dallas Business Law.
